Getting Ready

Jesus said there will be a time when suffering has worn down, and the sun will be dark, just worn out, and the moon will not give it light - and of course then the stars will be either running into each other because they can’t see where they are or who they are (if you needed to know star names to get by them), so they are falling from heaven, possibly on earth. And way up there in the sky the powers that run the heavens will be shaken. Who those are, so far, we really don’t have a concept. But we have been told that “then we will see the Son of Man (Is this for sure the Son of Man or the Son of God) who will be coming out of the clouds with great power and glory. Does that mean there will be huge choirs singing and angels singing, and maybe the millions who might be in the heavens on that date will be learning over the clouds and suns to watch what is going on. I don’t know why I have such a vision.

Whenever I’m flying in a plane with the window seat, I am anxious to see what is going on outside the plane windows because the clouds are extraordinary and moving and shaking and almost pointing something at me as we fly through them, and I feel God’s presence, although I’m sure He is busy with something else.

But fear not. God’s son (or is it Man’s son) will have gathered the angels and the four winds from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven. Don’t forget the number of humans who have walked on this earth since the beginning of time. If they have been at time, that would be logical. If you pay attention to a sign that on to the skies and the clouds and are on earth, you will see that the fig trees - when its branch becomes tender and puts forth its leaves, then that summer is near, even though we may confront all this in autumn or spring. But realize and not be surprised that He is near in his coming to earth having open the up the pearly gates of heaven. And when these things happen, that means the generation I guess standing on earth will pass away or die until all things God has prepared for has taken place.

Now Heaven and earth will not fade away, but the words Jesus and his Father God have told us, will not be fake or pass away without being what they were said to be.  However, no one really knows when all these things across the earth will not know exactly when such things will appear.  But keep alert. Stay in prayer, I would suggest, because no one will know the when or where nor how. Just be alert like any servant would be if the master was not in the house. We will not know to whom God will come when he begins His process of getting us to the heavens. When one hears the rumors and sees the changes in the sky and on earth, be alert and be prepared. In fact, keep awake until all this goodness has grabbed you by the hand to take you to the heavens.

Like the white balloon APPEARING on our blue sky one calm day - it could have been any old balloon but this one was sort too good to be something sitting up there possibly over Montana or even, God forbid, Jackson Hole where so many super-over-wealthy families were resting in their billion-dollar homes or hitting the space bar or maybe climbing a bit up the Tetons. Or escape artists - out of prison - this was never an option for Jesus, a chance to escape, in fact, he almost walked through the process knowing what was in store, not fighting for his life, because he knew it was his task to allow us to know that He was giving up His life for each one of us, whether we understood or not, or even gave a darn or not. Even today. Depends on your Christianity - some are awful - because it’s a power thing - the “leader” wants the money, the power, the congregation filling his pews and then…feeding his pockets so he can build glass buildings and earn a heathy salary is because he stands in the pulpit, and her any hand that holds out funds.

Our modern days filled with such monster things like buildings, construction, trips, flights, travels, schools, hard labor, building structures, providing free electricity, and policing the streets and running after escaped criminals, who may or may not get another chance to understand what Jesus allows. I wonder what happens to our dogs - and cats - and horses and cattle. I guess we don’t worry about those things because our possessions won’t be part of the flight to heaven. It will be something beyond our imagination which we must receive with grace and love and hope and freedom. And offer us to God to help do the labors that need to be done between earth and heaven.

Now we must clean our souls and prepare for the new year in our calendar. Walk through the stories we know so well. Hope that we are doing things right, if not, that we straighten up and try to give joy and help to those who are suffering and have no one to help or love them. That is what will really count. At this point in our new year, Jesus has not been born. But the rumbling and mumbling and hopes and the words of John the Baptist have all come together because something is in the air, someone who will baptize Him, before John can baptized others. And through this baptism, there is a promise that something miraculous will occur in a few days if we just stay awake and trust God.
